This course introduces production chemistry. Participants study produced fluid and water chemistry, sampling and analysis, scale, wax, asphaltene, hydrate, emulsion, corrosion and souring problems, the chemicals used to treat each, chemical selection and testing, injection systems, and the structure of a field chemical treatment programme.
