These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of all training programmes, workshops, webinars, e-learning courses, membership services, and related offerings (collectively, "Services") provided by Petroleum Engineers Association ("PEA", "we", "us", or "our").

By registering for, attending, or accessing any PEA Service — whether free or paid — you agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not register or participate.

1. Programme Tiers — What Is Included

PEA offers two distinct tiers of webinars and workshops. Please review carefully before registering.

2. Free Webinars & Workshops — Terms of Participation

Free webinars and workshops are offered by PEA as a public service to the global oil and gas community. By registering for a free event, you agree to the following:

2.1 Open Access

Free sessions are open to all professionals and students worldwide at no charge. No membership is required.

2.2 What Is NOT Included

  • No recordings — session recordings will not be shared, distributed, or made available after the event under any circumstances.
  • No slides or handouts — presentation materials, slide decks, datasets, or any digital materials will not be provided to participants.
  • No certificate — certificates of attendance or completion are not issued for free webinars or workshops.
Important Notice — Free Sessions

Requests for recordings, slides, or certificates after attending a free session will not be entertained. These are exclusively available to PEA Members. If you require these materials, we encourage you to explore PEA Membership at peassociations.com/membership.

2.3 Participant Conduct

All participants in free sessions are expected to behave professionally. PEA reserves the right to remove any participant from a session for disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate conduct without notice or compensation.

3. Premium Workshops & Webinars — Terms of Participation

Premium workshops and webinars are exclusive to active PEA Members. All webinars and workshops are included free of charge for members during their active membership period.

3.1 Eligibility

Access to Premium sessions is restricted to active PEA Members. Non-members wishing to attend must first obtain a valid PEA Membership at peassociations.com/membership.

3.2 Session Recordings — Trainer's Discretion

Whether or not a session recording is shared is entirely at the trainer's discretion. PEA does not guarantee recordings for every Premium session. Participants should not register with the expectation of receiving a recording unless explicitly confirmed in writing by PEA.

3.3 Slides & Materials — Trainer's Discretion

The sharing of slides, handouts, datasets, or any session materials is subject to trainer approval. Some trainers may choose not to share materials due to intellectual property or confidentiality reasons. PEA will communicate any confirmed material sharing prior to or after the session.

3.4 Corporate Email Requirement for Content Delivery

Where recordings, slides, or digital materials are approved for sharing, they will only be delivered to a verified corporate or institutional email address. The following personal email domains are not accepted:

A corporate email is one issued by your employer, university, or professional institution (e.g., yourname@companyname.com). Contact info@peassociations.com if you do not have a corporate email.

PEA reserves the right to withhold content delivery if the registered email address does not meet this requirement, with no obligation to issue a refund.

3.5 Certificate of Completion

Certificates are provided depending on the specific workshop and PEA policy. Where applicable, the following conditions apply:

  • The participant must be an active PEA Member at the time of the workshop
  • The participant must attend the full session or meet the minimum attendance threshold communicated prior to the event
  • Certificates are issued electronically within 7 business days of session completion
  • Certificates are not issued for free webinars or free workshops

4. E-Learning & On-Demand Courses

By enrolling in a PEA e-learning or on-demand course, you agree to the following:

4.1 Access to Digital Content

Participants will receive access to recorded training videos only. These materials are for personal, individual learning and must not be shared, redistributed, uploaded, or reproduced without prior written consent from PEA.

4.2 No Software Included

E-learning courses do not include any licensed or proprietary software. Participants are responsible for obtaining required software independently as specified in the course description.

4.3 Non-Refundable Digital Delivery

Once digital materials have been delivered or access has been granted, no refund will be issued under any circumstances. All payments are considered final upon delivery.

4.4 Personal Use Only

All course materials are strictly for the registered participant's personal learning. Any distribution, screen recording, public sharing, uploading to third-party platforms, or commercial use is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.

4.5 Intellectual Property

All content remains the exclusive intellectual property of PEA and/or the respective course instructor. Unauthorised reproduction or sharing constitutes copyright infringement and will be pursued accordingly.

4.6 Technical Requirements

Participants are solely responsible for ensuring they have the necessary hardware, internet connection, and software to access course materials. PEA is not liable for access issues caused by the participant's technical environment.

4.7 Course Content Updates

PEA reserves the right to update or improve course content at any time. Updated content does not entitle participants to additional fees or refunds.

4.8 Support

Basic email and WhatsApp support may be provided for access-related issues. Full technical support, personal mentoring, or one-on-one coaching outside the defined course scope is not included unless specifically stated.

5. Enrolling in PEA Programmes

PEA offers the following registration methods for its live and premium training programmes:

EmailSend your registration details (name, job title, company, and course of interest) to info@peassociations.com. PEA will confirm your enrolment and provide all necessary documentation.

Registration is only confirmed upon receipt of full payment or a pre-approved purchase order. PEA reserves the right to decline any registration at its discretion.

5.1 Event Scheduling & Zoom Joining Details

PEA strives to deliver all sessions on the scheduled date and time. However, please note the following important information:

  • Date & Time Changes: The scheduled date or time of any webinar, workshop, or live session may change due to trainer availability, scheduling conflicts, or unforeseen circumstances. PEA will notify all registered participants of any such changes as soon as reasonably possible via the registered email address.
  • Zoom / Session Joining Details: Joining links, meeting IDs, and passwords for all online sessions will be sent to your registered email address 3 days prior to the event. Please ensure your registered email is active and check your spam or junk folder if you do not receive the details.
  • Late Joining Link Requests: If you have not received your joining details at least 24 hours before the event, please contact us immediately at info@peassociations.com or via WhatsApp at +91 6205464268.
  • No Responsibility for Missed Sessions: PEA is not responsible for participants missing a session due to failure to check their registered email, an incorrect email provided at registration, or technical issues on the participant's side.
Important — Zoom Joining Links

Session joining links are sent exclusively to your registered email address 3 days before the event. PEA does not share joining links via public WhatsApp groups, social media, or any unofficial channels. If you receive a joining link from an unofficial source, do not use it and report it to info@peassociations.com immediately.

6. Payment & Invoicing

6.1 What Course Fees Cover

In-Person TrainingPresentations, physical and digital materials, and on-site refreshments where applicable. Accommodation and travel are not included.
Online / Live TrainingDigital course materials, presentations, and live session access.
Premium WebinarsLive session access. Recordings and slides subject to trainer approval (see Section 3).

6.2 Payment Terms

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking unless a pre-approved purchase order has been provided.
  • Invoices are delivered electronically to the registered email address.
  • All fees are listed in USD. Payments may be made in USD or INR at the prevailing exchange rate at the time of payment.
  • Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, credit/debit card. For last-minute in-person training, cash payments may be accepted at PEA's discretion.
  • PEA is not responsible for any currency conversion losses or bank charges incurred by the participant.

6.3 Invoicing

Tax invoices will include PEA's GSTIN (20DIGPA7260B1Z1) and will be issued in compliance with applicable Indian tax laws. Corporate clients requiring customised invoicing should contact info@peassociations.com in advance.

7. Cancellations, Changes & Refunds

7.1 PEA-Initiated Changes or Cancellations

PEA reserves the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel any programme due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases:

  • Participants will be notified as soon as reasonably possible
  • A full credit note or alternative session transfer will be offered
  • PEA is not liable for any travel, accommodation, or other costs incurred by the participant

7.2 Participant-Initiated Cancellations

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@peassociations.com. The following policy applies:

More than 21 days before the courseFull credit note issued. Substitutions accepted at no charge.
8 to 21 days before the courseCredit note issued with a 25% administrative fee deducted. Substitutions accepted.
Within 7 days of the courseNo refund or credit note. Delegate substitution may be considered at PEA's discretion.
No-show (no notice given)Full fee forfeited. No credit, refund, or substitution.
E-Learning & Digital Content — Non-Refundable

Once access has been granted or digital materials have been delivered for any e-learning or on-demand course, the payment is final and non-refundable under any circumstances.

7.3 Substitutions & Transfers

Delegate substitutions are permitted with prior written notice to PEA. Session transfers to a future cohort may be approved at PEA's discretion, subject to availability.

8. Attendance & Certification

8.1 Attendance Requirements

Consistent attendance is essential for effective learning and certificate eligibility. Participants are expected to attend the full duration of any live training session. Please inform a PEA representative in advance of any planned absence.

8.2 Certificate Issuance

Premium Workshop (Members)Provided depending on the workshop and PEA policy. Issued electronically within 7 business days where applicable.

PEA certificates are issued in the name of the registered participant only and cannot be transferred. Replacement certificates may be issued upon request for an administrative fee.

9. Recording & Screenshot Prohibition

Participants in any PEA live session — whether free or premium — are strictly prohibited from:

  • Screen recording, video recording, or audio recording any live session without prior written consent from PEA and the trainer
  • Taking and distributing screenshots of session content, presenter slides, or participant lists
  • Live streaming or rebroadcasting any PEA session on any platform

Violation of this policy may result in immediate removal from the session, permanent suspension from PEA programmes, and legal action for copyright infringement.

10. Intellectual Property

All content produced, published, or delivered by PEA — including course materials, slides, videos, datasets, webinar recordings, written guides, and branding — is the exclusive intellectual property of Petroleum Engineers Association and/or the respective trainer or collaborator.

Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to participants. Any unauthorised use, copying, distribution, or commercial exploitation of PEA content is strictly prohibited and will be pursued under applicable copyright and intellectual property law.

11. Code of Conduct

All PEA participants are expected to maintain professional standards across all sessions, communications, and platforms. The following conduct is strictly prohibited:

  • Abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or threatening language or behaviour toward any participant, trainer, or PEA staff member
  • Disruption of live sessions including spamming the chat or repeatedly interrupting the trainer
  • Sharing session links or access credentials with unregistered individuals
  • Misrepresentation of identity or professional credentials during registration

PEA reserves the right to remove any participant who violates this Code of Conduct without refund or notice. Serious violations may result in permanent suspension from all PEA programmes.

12. Limitation of Liability

  • PEA's total liability to any participant shall not exceed the total fees paid for the specific programme giving rise to the claim.
  • PEA is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages including loss of business, revenue, or professional opportunity.
  • PEA makes no guarantee that course content will result in specific professional outcomes, job placement, or salary increase.
  • PEA is not responsible for technical failures on the participant's side including internet, hardware, or software issues.

13. Force Majeure

PEA shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in delivering its Services caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, internet or platform outages, power failures, or civil unrest. In such cases, PEA will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or offer alternative access to the affected programme.

14. Privacy

Your use of PEA's Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at peassociations.com/privacy-policy. By agreeing to these Terms, you also accept our Privacy Policy.

15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Jharkhand, India. Before initiating formal proceedings, parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation within 30 days. Unresolved disputes may be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (India), conducted in English.

16. Changes to These Terms

PEA reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on our website with a revised effective date and communicated to registered users via email where reasonably practicable. Continued use of PEA's Services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
