Payment Terms & Conditions

Billing, Subscriptions, Refunds & Cancellations

By enrolling in any PEA online or blended learning course, purchasing any Service, or providing PEA with your payment information, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Payment Terms and Conditions ("Payment Terms") in full.

These Payment Terms apply to all payment models offered by PEA including one-time payments, automatic subscriptions, bundled plans, manual subscriptions, term-based payments, and pre-orders. They are to be read alongside PEA's general Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy, available at peassociations.com.

1. General Payment Terms

1.1 Payment Method Requirements

To purchase any Service or product from PEA, you must have:

  • A valid internet connection
  • A current, valid, and accepted payment method as indicated during the sign-up or checkout process ("Payment Method")

By providing your payment information, you agree that PEA and/or its authorised third-party payment processors may store and access your payment details solely for the purpose of processing your transactions.

1.2 Fees & Currency

  • All fees are listed in USD. Payments may be accepted in USD or INR at the prevailing exchange rate at the time of transaction.
  • Fees may vary based on your location, the type of payment method used, where your payment method was issued, or other contractual arrangements.
  • Your transaction may be subject to foreign exchange fees or price differences due to exchange rates. PEA is not responsible for such charges.
  • Not all payment methods, currencies, or locations are supported. PEA may vary its accepted payment methods from time to time.

1.3 Promotions & Pricing

  • Not all promotions and pricing are available to all participants. Specific additional terms may apply to certain promotional programmes, pricing tiers, or geographic locations.
  • You agree to use your own valid Payment Method and not to impersonate another person or use a Payment Method to circumvent regulatory restrictions.
Important — Use Your Own Payment Method

You must use a payment method registered in your own name. Using another person's card or payment account without their consent is a violation of these Payment Terms and may result in account termination and legal action.

2. Payment Models

PEA offers several payment models for its online and blended learning courses. Please review the model applicable to your enrolment carefully.

3. Automatic Subscription-Based Payments

IMPORTANT — Automatic Billing Authorisation

By selecting an automatic subscription-based enrolment, you expressly authorise PEA to automatically charge the applicable recurring monthly fee and all applicable taxes to your Payment Method unless and until you cancel, are removed, or graduate/complete the programme.

3.1 First Payment & Access

  • Unless otherwise specified, your first monthly payment is charged to your Payment Method on your purchase date.
  • Upon completion of purchase, access to the course begins immediately, as does your 2-day refund period.
  • For courses offering a Course Preview period, your first payment will be scheduled for the date the Course Preview ends. At that time, your Payment Method will be charged and your automatic subscription will start, along with the 2-day refund period.
  • You may not receive a separate notice from PEA confirming that your refund period has ended or that subscription billing has commenced.

3.2 Recurring Billing Date

After your first payment, subsequent monthly fees are automatically charged on the monthly anniversary date of your initial charge (your "Billing Date").

Billing Date Example

If your first payment is made on January 5th, your Billing Date will be the 5th of every subsequent month (February 5th, March 5th, and so on) until you cancel or complete the programme.

Note: If your Billing Date falls on a date that does not exist in a given month (e.g., January 31st), you will be billed on the last day of that month (e.g., February 28th), then return to the 31st where applicable.

Failure to pay on the Billing Date may result in suspension or termination of your course access and subscription.

4. Pre-Orders

  • If you elect to pre-order a course, you must provide a valid Payment Method at the time of pre-order.
  • Your Payment Method will not be charged at the time of pre-order.
  • Your Payment Method will only be charged when the course officially starts and you receive access to course content and associated services.
  • After the first charge, subsequent payments will follow the subscription model selected at the time of pre-order.
  • You may cancel your pre-order at any time before your Payment Method is first charged, with no penalty.

5. Bundled Subscription Payments

  • A bundled offering provides fixed, multi-month access to a course at a discounted rate, paid upfront as a one-time fee.
  • Upon expiry of the fixed multi-month term, your enrolment automatically reverts to a monthly auto-renewal subscription at the standard (non-discounted) monthly rate as shown on your original checkout page.
  • The monthly auto-renewal will be charged on the monthly anniversary of your initial charge date.
  • Upon purchase of a bundled offering, course access begins immediately and your 2-day refund period commences.
  • For courses with a Course Preview, the refund period and first payment begin at the end of the preview period.

6. Manual Monthly Subscription Payments

  • Under a manual monthly subscription, you must make a payment each month to manually renew your access to the course.
  • Your 2-day refund period starts upon each manual payment and access grant.
  • If you fail to manually renew, your access to the course will end at the close of the monthly period for which you have already paid.
  • If you terminate and re-enrol for the same course, you will regain access and receive a new 2-day refund period. However, only one refund is permitted per participant per course.

7. Term-Based (One-Time) Payments

  • Term-based courses are offered at a fixed, one-time flat fee as stated on the course information and enrolment page.
  • Payment is made upfront in full before access is granted.
  • Your 7-day refund period commences on your date of purchase.
  • After the 7-day window, fees paid are non-refundable for that term.

8. Cancellation Policy

8.1 Cancelling an Automatic Monthly Subscription

Your automatic subscription continues unless you graduate, complete the programme, cancel, or PEA terminates it. To cancel:

  • Go to Settings > Subscription & Billing in your account
  • Click Cancel on your active enrolment
  • Confirm your cancellation request with an Enrolment Advisor via phone (India only) or online chat
Cancel Before Your Next Billing Date

You must cancel your subscription at least one (1) day before your next Billing Date to avoid being charged for the following month. There is no refund for the remaining period of a month in which you have already been charged.

  • After cancellation, you will continue to have full access to the course until the end of the current billing period.
  • Following the billing period, you will retain limited access to course materials.
  • If you cancel during a free trial, you may lose access to course content immediately and may not be eligible for static/limited access.

8.2 Cancellation Terms for Pre-Orders

You may cancel a pre-order subscription at any time before your Payment Method is first charged, with no penalty. After the first charge, the cancellation terms for the applicable subscription model (automatic, bundled, manual, or term-based) will apply.

8.3 Cancellation Terms for Bundled Offerings

  • You have a 2-day cancellation and refund window from the date of purchase (or first charge after Course Preview).
  • After the 2-day window, no refunds will be issued — including no partial refunds — for any remaining portion of the fixed multi-month term or any subsequent monthly auto-renewal period.

8.4 Cancellation Terms for Manual Monthly Subscriptions

  • You have a 2-day cancellation and refund window from the date of each manual payment.
  • After 2 days, no further refunds will be issued.
  • Only one refund per participant per course is permitted under a manual subscription.

8.5 Cancellation Terms for Term-Based Payments

  • You have a 7-day cancellation and refund window from your date of purchase.
  • To cancel and request a refund: go to Settings > Subscription & Billing, click on your active enrolment, and confirm with an Enrolment Advisor.
  • After 7 days, fees paid for term-based programmes are non-refundable.

8.6 Cancellation Process & Communication

After submitting a cancellation request via your account settings, PEA may contact you by email or phone to gather feedback about your experience. This is for service improvement purposes only. You are not required to engage with such communications in order to complete your cancellation. The date of your original cancellation request will serve as the effective cancellation date for refund eligibility calculations.

9. Refund Policy

General Refund Position — Please Read Carefully

Except as specifically stated for each payment model in these Payment Terms, PEA does not offer refunds on any fees or charges once the applicable refund window has passed. This includes partially used or unused periods, regardless of whether your enrolment is subscription-based, bundled, manual, or term-based.

9.2 No Refund for Lack of Use or Dissatisfaction

PEA does not guarantee refunds for lack of usage, failure to log in, personal schedule conflicts, or general dissatisfaction with a course. It is your responsibility to evaluate course suitability before enrolling.

9.3 Documents, Software & Shared Materials

Non-Refundable — Digital Delivery

If PEA has shared any documents, materials, or software with you as part of your enrolment, the applicable payment for those materials is strictly non-refundable, regardless of the payment model or refund window.

9.4 Re-Enrolment After Cancellation

If you cancel your subscription and subsequently re-enrol for the same course, you will not be entitled to an additional refund period. Only one refund is permitted per participant per course, regardless of the number of times you enrol.

9.5 Third-Party Marketplace Purchases

If you purchase a PEA course or service through a third-party platform or mobile marketplace (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or alternative payment services), the refund policy of that third-party marketplace will apply, unless PEA has explicitly stated otherwise. PEA disclaims all responsibility for third-party marketplace refund compliance or outcomes.

9.6 Free Trial Refunds

Special refund terms apply to free trial enrolments. For example, if you sign up for a bundled offer that includes one free month, you may be eligible for a refund within 2 days of purchase. However, if you purchase a monthly subscription that includes a free trial period, you will not be eligible for a refund after the free trial begins.

10. Price Changes

PEA reserves the right to modify, terminate, or otherwise amend fees and features associated with any subscription or course. If PEA changes your subscription fee, we will provide at least 15 days' advance notice before the new rate takes effect.

  • Your continued use of PEA services after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new fee.
  • If you do not wish to accept the new fee, you may cancel your subscription at any time before the change takes effect.

11. Taxes

When you purchase any PEA course, service, or product, you agree to pay not only the applicable course fee but also all applicable taxes, including:

  • Sales tax, use tax, value-added tax (VAT), Goods and Services Tax (GST), transaction taxes, or other government-required fees
  • Estimated taxes are calculated at checkout based on the billing information you provide
  • Upon confirmation of purchase, you may be responsible for a different total tax amount depending on applicable tax rules
  • Where GST/VAT collection is required, it will be calculated and added at checkout

You authorise PEA to charge any applicable taxes owed by you. You agree to indemnify and hold PEA harmless against any claims by any tax authority for underpayment of taxes, including GST/VAT, and any related penalties or interest.

12. Credit Card Billing & Third-Party Processors

  • Credit card payments are processed by PEA's authorised third-party payment processor(s) (e.g., Razorpay, Stripe, PayPal).
  • By agreeing to these Payment Terms, you also agree to be bound by the applicable terms of service of PEA's payment processor(s). Any breach of those terms will be treated as a breach of these Payment Terms.
  • For subscription-based enrolments or instalment plans, your Payment Method will be automatically charged each month for the applicable course fee and taxes.
  • If any fee is not paid on time, or if your payment cannot be processed, PEA reserves the right to suspend or terminate your course access and/or account.

12.1 Updated Card Details

If your payment details change, your card provider may share updated card details with PEA. You consent to PEA collecting and using such updated details to prevent interruption of your Services. To update your billing information manually, go to Settings > Account > Billing Information in your account.

13. Personal Data & Payment Information

When you register for a course or purchase a service, PEA may collect the following information for billing and account purposes:

  • Full name, email address, phone number, and billing address
  • Payment method details (processed and stored securely by our third-party payment processor — PEA does not store raw card numbers)
  • Academic background, profession, and job title (where provided on enrolment forms)
  • Correspondence and communications related to your account

All personal data is handled in accordance with PEA's Privacy Policy, available at peassociations.com/privacy-policy, and in compliance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Payment Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Jharkhand, India. Before initiating formal legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation within 30 days. Unresolved disputes may be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (India), with proceedings conducted in English.
