About This Course

This course covers sidetracking and casing exit operations. Participants study sidetrack decisions and planning, open hole sidetracking with cement plugs, whipstock systems and casing exits, section milling, window milling operations, directional control after the exit, equipment selection, problems and contingency, and the economics of sidetracking.
