A complete treatment of static reservoir modelling, from raw well and seismic data through to a simulation-ready grid. It covers structural and stratigraphic framework construction, grid design, log blocking, variogram analysis, facies and petrophysical property modelling, saturation height functions, volumetric estimation with uncertainty, upscaling and model quality control. The emphasis is on building models that reproduce the data and the geology rather than models that merely look plausible.
