About This Course

This course covers the design of permanent well abandonment. Participants study abandonment requirements and standards, barrier design philosophy, well assessment and data gathering, plug design and placement, annular barrier requirements, casing recovery and section milling, alternative barrier materials, verification, cost estimation and campaign planning.
