This training covers how process variables are measured in an oil and gas facility, how the measurements are transmitted, how control loops act on them, and how safety instrumented systems protect the plant when control is not enough. It explains instrument operating principles, installation requirements and error sources, control loop tuning and behaviour, typical facility control schemes, and the architecture of modern control and shutdown systems.
