About This Course

This training covers the transfer of a fine scale geological model into a simulation grid. It works through the volume-variance problem, averaging and flow-based upscaling of permeability, directional and tensor upscaling, multiphase upscaling and pseudo relative permeability generation, grid type selection, layering and orientation, local grid refinement, near-well and horizontal well modelling, and the validation of the coarse model against fine scale flow behaviour.
